It is that time of year again.  The 1st cut of the 2026 grass harvest is due to start next week subject to the weather (which looks good for mowing).    

Harvest and delivery of grass to the clamps at Brains Farm is planned to start on Bank Holiday Monday morning – nature doesn’t do hours, days, weeks, months, holidays or bank holidays.  As usual, tractors and trailers making deliveries direct from the fields will be badged with our logo (see the photo to the left) and a number.

This will be our 3 year of harvesting local grass for renewable energy in the form of renewable natural gas which is fed directly into the national gas network in Wincanton.
