SEEDING DELIVERIES

Starting from this week, we will be “seeding” the digester.  This process entails bringing in “live” material from neighbouring, similar plants in order to seed the digester with biologically active material.

The seeding process requires us to bring in a large volume of material quickly, so as to avoid it cooling down (it likes to be at 35C to 40C).  This will mean there will be more HGVs than usual coming to the site (tankers like the one in the photo).  We expect this to be about 10-12 tanker deliveries per day for the next 3 to 4 weeks.

If you witness anything that concerns you or if you have questions about the project you can review our FAQs here or contact us via a webform or phone number here.
