Brains Farm uses a wide range of agricultural feedstocks, many of which are delivered to site on a regular basis. However, about 30-40% of the feedstock is delivered in short harvest windows, which create higher numbers of associated vehicle movements.
The site is regulated by a transport plan, which is publicly available and determines the routes that heavy commercial vehicles shall take when driving to and from the site. During these short periods of more intense activity and to better identify those tractors delivering harvested feedstocks we have developed signs which are attached to the tractors.
If you see one of these please give them a wave as they’re local people working on the farms in and around our community producing the raw materials for renewable natural gas production being used in our local gas network.
