Starting from next week you will see a number of big changes to the site.  On Tuesday (3rd Sept) we shall be craning the large gas membranes onto the tanks and inflating them (with air)

There are still several weeks worth of installation remaining on the plant before we can start commissioning.  During this period, the domes are inflated by blowing air into the space – to prevent them dropping in or being damaged by high winds we keep them under tension (don’t worry – there’s no renewable natural gas in them yet).

In addition, there will be several exceptional/ wide load deliveries of equipment to the plant.  This is the gas upgrading equipment being delivered and craned into place.  Built and assembled in factories – it is brought to site as complete or modular units for rapid install.
